Every millionaire and billionaire is sought after a few qualities and Interpersonal skills become the epicentre of self-development and growth.
The higher one grows in hierarchy, the more looked upon they are. And if you closely observe the ability to deal with people define how far you go.
Now, let’s discuss what are these skills, and how can they be honed?
First, understand the skill. ‘Inter’- ‘personal’ refers to the ability to interact and convey your thoughts to other individuals. To win their trust and understand their point of view, respectfully.
The most cultured people known to be great conversationalists. Now what takes to be a great conversationalist?
I’ll mention just three!
Listen: Carefully, attentively, peacefully. Pay attention to details and question more on what they have say to represent interest. Carefully note details of what they mention, more often than not it comes across as a teeny tiny world you do come across a few instances/common people/interests.
Talk about them! Talk of their interests and affiliates, what excites them. What gets them running in the morning, what bring a change in your perspective. Even a small conversationalist opens up doors to opportunities, or makes an unexpected collaboration.
Smile, greet and always try to remember people’s first names; The magic of being felt important takes you much further away than you can imagine and think of! Suppose meeting an acquittance who calls you out in a conference/market/event and greets you positively while addressing your first name. It strikes a good connection!
