Why do people travel? Why does #TravelGram #Travel are one of the most used hashtages of all time?
Been a fond travel enthusiast I can relate to wanderlust, I’m sure many of you reading this as well as can. I’ll list down a couple of reasons I can recall as to why travel excites me and a few must have been from a dialogue with my friends and family.
It provides you prospective; Too easy to say, too difficult to explain! But the meaning being, you get out of the mundane, you explore and observe your thought process brings you more direction and horizon to process. I very fondly remember a trip on New Year’s with a friend to a beautiful desert in India, in winters, by far it remains the most exciting night for a couple of reasons, I saw the most clear sky with countless stars. Second, I met people from Australia, from South India and also from Sweden, we talked I got to know their traditions and upbringings and how they function, the though process and a lot other things. Trust me it was not planned, I know hard to believe but we only met once we hopped on to our camels and starting riding them! Travels can always be full of surprises! Be ready for the next one.
Gives you stories to share for the next party! There is no better story than a travel one, in fact after a travel I make sure on return, I meet my friends in town and tell them how it went, what I saw, what I learnt and who doesn’t want to know more, especially first hand experiences. You get stories to tell, you get conversations to hold.
Culture and variety; From the travel story above another great learning was about culture, variations and diversity.( Something I believe is best learnt by experience) I met people from Australia, from South India and also from Sweden, Of-course being humans we talked, we sang, we ate and they told me more about their cultures, where I explained mine. They sang in their vernacular, I heard languages, I had never heard before!
Memories for a lifetime: It might sound weird, but one the biggest regrets everyone speaks on their deathbed is about not being able to travel enough/see the world. Don’t let it be on your pending list. Pack your bags and get into action for the next adventure.
You realize who means to you; How and why? In a place far away from home, office usual. Whom do you miss? Or say you are tasting some new coffee, and it strikes, I wish she/he was here to try it with me!
I’ll let you ponder, please leave comments! I would absolutely love to read and talk to you!
