Your Image is a perception of you. How not others see you but also perceive you. What are you in their eyes?


It has a significant impact on your self-esteem which defines your self-worth.

Think of the child who is constantly reminded of them out-of-shape or an inherent feature and it being unacceptable in the society.






Now, there are two ways to bring that up:

  1. Ex: Body weight issue. Being fit is healthy, undoubtedly. However, the introduction of that concept has to be done in an amiable cum proper way, which one explains the advantages of being healthy and also highlights the risks of being unhealthy - Sadly, this is not the case (mostly).

  2. Ex: An inherent Physical feature. Relatives/peers constantly consciously and over the time unconsciously bringing the physical characters of the person in a derogatory manner, most oftenly casual. Such as- Kali/Moti

Every experience has a psychological experience attached to it, good/bad both/either. Now that person is always self critical of themselves and fighting an internal battle on how they are perceived by others.

In the next article, we will speak more about how we can control our Image i.e how we can control what and how others perceive us. Yes! We can work around it :)
